The third edition of the annual exhibition and showcase FashionMist
is here! This years fashion and charity event is aimed at showcasing
emerging African designers and reflecting the continents creativity and
unique use of African textiles to create modern designs.
The event will take place in two parts;
exhibitions during the day and fashion shows in the evening. Designers
expected to exhibit on the date include Kizmet Designer Jewellery, Gita’s Portal, House of Loulee, Arhin Armah, Ayikai Couture, Heritage and lots more. Also Youtube sensation Chanel Boateng
(www.chanelboateng.com) will be hosting a seminar where attendees would
view her Youtube videos, beauty and style tips as well as share insight
on how she got started in the industry. The proceeds of the event will
be donated in support of the W.A.M (What About Me) Campaign (www.wamcampaign.org); an initiative aimed at providing for orphans and vulnerable children living in Ghana.
Entry is free for all exhibitions but
the fashion show will be ticketed. It will feature a selection
of designers showing their latest collections as well as entertainers.
These designers include Wusuwaah’s Diary, Kolture Apparel, Sa4a, N’kya designs, Triballery, Sarfo, M.A.F.Couture, Ms Ray Couture, Afriqan Apeiron and A’Cote Collections. Entertainment will be provided by Twi Teacher as well as other talented acts. The event will also be hosted by Rachel Williams and A-Dot.
