In 2012, BN Movies & TV brought exclusively to you all episodes of the MTV Base Shuga Series and you loved it.

We were super excited to hear that the show which fuses sexual health messaging with gripping storylines, was coming back with some fresh new faces.

Nigerian chanteuse Tiwa Savage, Ghanaian heartthrob Chris Attoh and on-air-personality Maria Okanrende were announced as some of the stars to feature with the show’s regular cast Nick Mutuma who plays Leo and Emmanuel Ikubese who plays Femi.

My Style is one of our favourite features on the BN Style page, and judging from the responses it gathers, I can safely say, it has our readers interested.

BellaNaija reader Monica Funmilayo Awe-Etuk is a Canadian-Nigerian living in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a wife and mother of 2, has a double major in both Mass Communication and Sociology and studied the business of fashion. Coupled with her experience in working in the high end fashion industry for 15 years she has a blog called Awed by Monica that celebrates her love for fashion and style.

Like my style, my personality for the most part is fun and very much alive. I do have a serious side, however I am trying to be more adventurous.

There is no one store that carries all the designers I love. There are so many designers that I am passionate about, it is impossible to pinpoint one brand that sums up my style.

Like any Nigerian girl, I love a great deal. Being that I understand how the industry works, I’d rather shop during sales. However if I find an item I absolutely love, there is no such thing as waiting for a sale (unfortunately I find too many things I absolutely love).

My favorite hair look would be to wear my hair super long, even as long as my backside, however I am rocking shoulder length hair right now and I love it.

My Advice for Other Stylistas
I encourage my clients to find pieces that work for their personality and look awesome on their body type. I also advice people not to buy items because you see your favorite celebrities wearing it. Instead be conscious of your body shape and style and make sure you ‘own’ every outfit you put on.
