ACN Spend N1.86Billion On Tinubu's birthday.


The Nigerian main opposition Party, the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) is spending about N1.86B on Tinubu's 60th birthday.
State and Local government areas in ACN control states contributed this amount, apart from Oyo state that refused to send in their on 'widow's handout'.
The carnival like birthday party for the ACN chief, will last for a week.

PDP south west chiefs chuckled at this extravaganza and ACN's stalwarts frequent criticism of President Jonathan and the ruling party, PDP. They describe it as a case of "Aki calling Pawpaw a dwarf".


Nigerian Students Record 90% Failure Rate In NECO


Ninety per cent of candidates who sat for the 2011 November/December Senior School Certificate Examinations of the National Examination Council, NECO, failed theexamination.

This disclosure was made by the Registrar, Prof. Promise Okpala, while announcing the release of the NECO results at a press briefing in Minna on Wednesday.
According to him, only 10 per cent out of the 110,724 candidates that sat for theexaminations scored credit and above in the core subjects including English Language and Mathematics.

Credit passes in these two subjects are required for university admission in the country.

You may which to know that this is the fifth year that NECO SSCE candidates would churn out a woeful performance.
