Were you at the first edition of the Lagos Make Up Fair? If not, don’t fret as POPS Concepts is bringing to you its second edition tagged “The 2nd Lagos Makeup Fair (LMUF2)“.
This edition stands as the 6th in the series after the Abuja, Port Harcourt and Owerri editions. The Make Up fair is a make up and beauty shopping extravaganza which is intended to give make up and beauty professionals a great platform from which to conclude business with attendees/visitors by showcasing and demonstrating their products to potential customers.
Exhibitions would be from categories like make up products, wellness and spa, hair care products and accessories and more. LMUF2 will be a great place for finding your target audience, vendors and an avenue for you to demonstrate what your brand has to offer.

In the Name of African Fashion! Presenting the 3rd Edition of FashionMist | Saturday 1st June 2013

This years fashion and charity event is aimed at showcasing emerging African designers and reflecting the continents creativity and unique use of African textiles to create modern designs.

The event will take place in two parts; exhibitions during the day and fashion shows in the evening. Designers expected to exhibit on the date include Kizmet Designer Jewellery, Gita’s Portal, House of LouleeArhin Armah, Ayikai Couture, Heritage and lots more. Also Youtube sensation Chanel Boateng (www.chanelboateng.com) will be hosting a seminar where attendees would view her Youtube videos, beauty and style tips as well as share insight on how she got started in the industry. The proceeds of the event will be donated in support of the W.A.M (What About Me) Campaign (www.wamcampaign.org); an initiative aimed at providing for orphans and vulnerable children living in Ghana.
Entry is free for all exhibitions but the fashion show will be ticketed. It will feature a selection of designers showing their latest collections as well as entertainers. These designers include Wusuwaah’s Diary, Kolture Apparel, Sa4a, N’kya designs, Triballery, Sarfo, M.A.F.Couture, Ms Ray Couture, Afriqan Apeiron and A’Cote Collections. Entertainment will be provided by Twi Teacher as well as other talented acts. The event will also be hosted by Rachel Williams and A-Dot.

GWB Ball - BellaNaija - May20130022On Saturday 27th April 2013 the Sierra Leonean Diaspora in the USA celebrated their country’s 52nd Independence Anniversary. Hosted by The GWB Commission, the classy and patriotic 5th Annual Green. White. & Blue. Ball  was held at the Historic Howard Theatre, Washington DC. The ball was not only attended by Sierra Leoneans but by other African nations and friends of the Caribbean.
The night started with awards being presented by the host Farai Gundan, honoring  exceptional Sierra Leoneans making an impact in both abroad and in Sierra Leone. Awardees included Director General of UNIDO Dr. Kandeh K. Yumkella (Lifetime Achievement Award), International Ballerina Michaela DePrince (Arts and Entertainment Award), Ola Dpt (Sports Award), and Liesel Renner (Humanitarian Award).
The theme was Hollywood inspired with cultured elegance. Performances included traditional and cultural music by Janka Nabay and Vicki Forna, while DJ Lebbie and DJ No Name kept the atmosphere going with great sounds throughout the night. Commemorating the event were delectable green, white, and blue cup cakes and cake pops provided by Kulture Kakes.
