Breaking News: CBN Announces Introduction of 5,000 Naira Note

The Central Bank of Nigeria has announced that it is going to introduce a N5,000 note into the system.

The faces of three prominent Nigerian female activists are to be used on the new note. They are those of late politician and social mobiliser, Margaret Ekpo (1914 – 2006); late politician and activist Hajia Gambo Sawaba (1933 – 2001) and late politician and women’s right activist Funmilayo Kuti (1900 -1978).

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Erects Massive Billboard Praising Himself(PHOTO)

So much for humility. I wonder what the message of the billboard is, and this was built with the offering and tithe contributed to the church, If we talk now, people will say NAIJA GOSSIP una don come, but why are you promoting yourself when you are meant to be a SERVANT of God? This is what we cry against in our everyday government.

PATHETIC:New Born Baby Found Dead In Polythene Bag In Lagos

Residents of Benson Estate, Owutu, along Lagos-Ikorodu Expressway woke up Tuesday to see the corpse of a newly born baby wrapped in a polythene bag.

Passers-by and residents said that the baby was dumped there on Monday night or very early on Tuesday as they did not see it the previous day.

An eyewitness said that the act might have been perpetrated by prostitutes in brothels in the neighbourhood.

“I got to work this morning (Tuesday) and saw a nylon bag beside the compound. Out of curiousity, I went close and saw that it was a baby that was put there. I guessed the prostitutes in the brothels around here might have done it,” the eyewitness said and pleaded anonymity.

Resident of the estate who did not want his identity disclosed, said: “I was surprised when this morning I saw the baby lying here dead. It was so gory a sight that people found it difficult to look at it.

“I had to call the Owutu Police Station to inform them to take necessary action.”

Men of the Owutu Divisional Police Station later came to the scene to take the corpse away.

My boyfriend left me for another woman – How Can I get him Back

Hi everyone, I’ve been turning this situation over and over in my head but finding no solution. Perhaps you friendly readers can give me an objective view.

I had been going out with my ex for three and a half years, all long distance but we’d see each other on most weekends unless he went away since he was in the military. A year into our relationship he cheated on me with a prostitute.

I’m certainly not proud of it, but shortly thereafter I ended up cheating on him with a friend of mine and continued to hook up with him a few times. We both told each other about our infidelities but I didn’t tell him the whole story because he became very violent (not towards me but punching walls etc) and aggressive.

After that, I never told him the extent of my infidelity but always wanted to but was scared of the outcome. For the next two and a half years, I was faithful to him but he cheated on me a few more time with more prostitutes. Throughout this all, he was abusing etc.

I tried to get us into counseling but he didn’t want to go and would somehow sabotage my efforts. He finally got booted from the military for drugs and moved back home. He went through rehab and stayed clean for ten months.

We broke up for a month over a fight about a girl I thought he was hooking up with. During this time, I believe he messed around with at least one person that he told me about. I hooked up again one more time with my old friend from before but when my ex and I got back together I didn’t tell him about it.

My ex moved to a different state and began to go to school. Four months ago he started working at a place where a girl had a crush on him. I saw him four weeks ago and everything seemed to be going well, however I found out he was smoking and drinking again. While he was drunk he began to tell me about this girl at work and how she gave him her number and told him to come to her place for dinner.

I was pissed. I didn’t mention it until I came back from visiting him. We had an argument and hung up. Normally he’d call me every single night, but didn’t call me for two weeks. Finally I called him and he was really mean and told me to move on and that we were broken up. He said that he could be really mean if he wanted to.

I told him to not hold back and he said that he was seeing someone else and sleeping with them. My body went cold and into shock, I blurted out that if we were being honest with each other I might as well tell him the whole story about my infidelity.

I told him about my friend (we don’t speak at all anymore) and how it happened a few times way back when and once when we broke up for a month. He was pissed and told me he was seeing his coworker and that she wanted to call me up to tell me I lost my man, blah blah blah.

We basically talked here and there throughout the weekend and from our conversations I found out:
1. this girl has two kids from two different dads
2. she said she had her first child on purpose to trick the baby’s father into marrying her
3. she’s still married to her first child’s father b/c she can’t afford a divorce (which is approximately $250 in that state)
4. she told my ex if he wants to get married/have a kid within a year, she is down for it
5. she has never gone to school and never plans on it
6. she is mean to her kids and tells them to shutup and she’s mean to everyone else but nice to him and he knows she’s a “good person” that she wants him to “love her”
7. she calls him 24/7 when they aren’t at work together
8. she told him to give her his financial aid check to put in her child’s saving account b/c he can’t “handle his money”
9. she told him to move in with her and if he has too much stuff to sell some of it
10. she told him she doesn’t think she’ll like his mom b/c she feels like she’s judging her for having two kids without even knowing her

Basically the list goes on and on and whatever negatives I’ve stated above are the opposite of me, as far as I know his family loved me, I have an education, no kids, don’t want him for his money, let him do whatever he wanted, supported him ALL the time, was kind and considerate to him, AND I have straight teeth!

But two weeks ago he told me to stop calling him because it’s causing problems with her and that he’d call me. I haven’t heard from him, he didn’t respond to my email and he wouldn’t pick up his phone. I’m tempted to fly out to where he is but I’m actually afraid she’d try to kick my butt.

I know I need to move on and that our relationship is so jacked anyways but I can’t stop obsessing about him with her. I can’t figure out why he wants her other than the s*x but it totally grosses me out. I’m at the end of my rope, seeing a therapist, and even went to a psychic today that swindled me and told me some b.s.

Anyways dear readers, I still love him and I want to knock some sense into him. There’s been a lot of b.s. throughout our time together but I always believed he was a good loving person who had issues with drug ,. I love him unconditionally, but I won’t have him cheating on me and ruining my life.

His mom says he’ll snap out of it and come to in a few weeks but it has already been that long. I’m afraid he’ll never call me. My friends and family think he’s a dog and should have been kicked to the curb ages ago. Everyone says he’ll call me when he’s down and out in a few months but to not take him back.

The sick thing is that all I want now if for him to call me. I guess I always believed that he did jacked up things but that he did love me. What do you guys think will happen? Thanks for reading.

"We slept with her for 12 hours" -Cynthia`s Killers

**We discovered that the tablet did not work quickly on her.
**When we didn’t get any money from her, we tied her mouth and strangled her and then abandoned her in the hotel and fled.
**Evil suspects covered their face, as they were paraded today.

Two murder suspects who were paraded today by the Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja, Echezona Nwabufor, 33, and Ezekiel Nnechuwu Olisa Eloka, 23, have narrated how they drugged the daughter of a retired General, Miss Cynthia Akuzogwu Udoka, 25, and strangled her in order to steal her money.
One of the suspects, Eloka, said they killed Cynthia because they thought she had a lot of money in her possession. But after the dastardly act, they did not find a reasonable amount of money on her.

According to the suspects, “we met her on the facebook on our Blackberry. We invited her to come to Lagos to buy goods at cheap prices.
“When she got to Lagos, we took her to a hotel in Festac. We thought she had a lot of money, but she said she didn’t have any money. We gave her Reflon tablet in her Ribena drink. After this, we slept with her for 12 hours in that hotel. We discovered that the tablet did not work quickly on her.
“We then attacked her, tied her up and used cellotape to cover her mouth. After that, we beat her to tell us where she kept the money.
“When we didn’t get any money from her, we tied her mouth and strangled her and then we abandoned her in the hotel and fled.”
The suspects and the General’s daughter became friends on Facebook and were exchanging messages and phone calls.
She told them she was coming to Lagos. They met her at Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja from where they ushered her into a hotel in Festac town, Lagos.
Briefing journalists on how policemen were able to arrest the suspects, Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Umar Abubakar Manko, said detectives made use of the close circuit television, CCTV, at the hotel where the crime was committed to identify them.

The Area Commander, Area ‘E’ Police Command, ACP Okoro added that the suspects who are undergraduates of Nigerian universities were nabbed through the call logs of the telephone conversations they had with the late Cynthia who was a post graduate student of Nasarawa State University.
When the suspected killers strangled Cynthia, they deposited her corpse at the mortuary of Isolo General Hospital in Lagos.
ACP Okoro stated that many ATM cards, about 23 SIM cards, different identity cards were recovered from the suspects.
Police sources said the two suspects will soon be arraigned in court to answer a charge of murder.

BN: What was the inspiration behind Glam Report TV?
BB: I’ve been in the Nigerian fashion industry for close to a decade and I know how hard people in the creative industry work and  how big their accomplishments have gotten over the years, but this is not out there for the mass to see and learn from. Glam Report TV was created to fill that gap, to get their success and inspiring stories exposed; to educate  and inspire everyone.
BN: Is Glam Report TV solely targeted at a female audience?
BB: Of course not! Beauty, Lifestyle and Fashion is not gender discriminating. All over the world, men as much as women are interested in looking and feeling good. At Glam Report TV we consider our male audience as important as the female audience and we’ve created content that caters to men. We have segments that will educate men on the latest trends and how to improve their lifestyle. The show also showcases well-accomplished men in the beauty, fashion and lifestyle industry, so we hope that men will be watching and equally getting inspired!
BN: Why did you pick Michelle Dede, Didi Ocheja and Fade Ogunro as the presenters of the show?
BB: Michelle, Didi and Fade are beautiful, smart and stylish women and  I believe they have the charisma and engaging personality to truly connect with the show’s audience.
BN: As a pioneer stylist in the Nigerian Fashion Industry, there are high style expectations for the presenters, would viewers be left pleased?
BB: I hold the belief that style should be personal and at the same time, comfortable. Luckily, our three presenters are stylish in their own right. Working with the show’s stylist, Ebun, we’ve tried to create looks based on each presenter’s personality and body shape. Style will forever be subjective, but I hope their style fosters engagement with viewers.
BN: What should viewers expect fom Glam Report TV?
BB: Viewers should expect fantastic production, great content that is entertaining, educative and inspiring!

Popular Dancehall Star, Baba Fryo Attacked By Seven Policemen; Both Legs Broken!

Seven yet to be identified policemen beat reggae/ ragga singer, Papa Fryo to stupor last Monday morning. The ugly incident which occurred at Desyles Hotel and Niteclub, Badagry, Lagos at 3: 00AM, according to the humiliated singer was unfortunate and a clear case of injustice. He claimed he was not in any way involved in the matter that led to the brutality meted out to him by the policemen from Isashi Police Station, Badagry, Lagos who had come to arrest two women identified as sisters in the niteclub . .

The girls identified as sisters were earlier approached by a man who an eye-witness claimed wanted to have fun with them together. The sisters, who were already in his car felt he could not make love with them together and the disagreement led to the fight which caused part of his car to damage.

The aggrieved man later took the matter to the police station at Isashi. Baba Fryo narrates his ordeal:

“Na one man go carry police come to arrest two girls so as the girl dem dey resist arrest, I even advised the girls to follow the police as the girls to resist address, no be say I do anything bad. As the police dey discuss outside as they dey argue, later they reinforce, when they reinforce dey be about seven and me I know dey that time wey dey reinforce, me I dey sleep for upstairs, but when I hear the noise I had to come down. When I come down the police dey beat them too much and me I know fit bear am, even the girls I know happy with wetin them dem dey do but because they were constituiting nuisance there but at least they are humans and they are woman. They no suppose to dey beat woman like that, so the only statement that I made was make una take am easy dem be women that was all, na him this police dem begin to beat me, use banton to break my leg, begin to match my leg. So from there they handcuff me and carry me go police station.

“So when they come ask dem say wetin this man do, the other two police wey come at first, them come dey talk say this man no o anything this man dey our side, na him them come commot the handcuff from my hand, they know even tell me sorry they no talk anything, but now I dey hospital now, since that day till now, so I just collect the x-ray now and dem say I get fracture for leg and the police no talk anything about the bills and everything for this hospital. Funny enough, the man wey call the police, the man wan sleep with two sisters, but the girls come understand they no come gree, but the first time dem dey play with the man, dey play with car so tey dem put on in ignition and the police ask am say where him dey when they put on the ignition, he say him dey inside car, so the switch of the wiper comot, the man no complain ohhh, so when the girls come refuse the man na him the man come begin complain say that switch wey dey comot na N15,000 and say the girls go pay. I get motor that thing na N500 or N1000 problem. So after dem reach police station solve the matter finish dey come say the two of them dey tell lies say make dem settle themselves, that was all oh.

“We dey fear armed robber we dey fear police. Wetin make police take action like that na because of the amount of money the man take call am for police thinking say dey go fit exploit the girls, then get the money or the man wan put them for tight corner. na ten ten thousand since Monday u understand so na wetin happen be that my brother nothing else. Later dem take me to the police station and I met the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) who after listening to me, said it was a communication gap problem. That the policemen did not know na be Baba Fryo. Can you imagine that? So, if you could not identify me as Baba Fryo, u wan kill me? ”

As at the time of posting this report, Baba Fryo is on the sick bed at Aiyetoro Medical Centre, along Badagry Expressway, Lagos.
