We had our eyes set out at the first global awards ceremony of the year – the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards which took place in style yesterday at the Beverly Hilton, California, USA.
Hosted by funny actresses, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who delivered a lot of comic jokes and taking  jabs at Taylor Swift, James Cameron and more, the comic divas were interesting right from the red carpet to the stage.
All eyes were on Ben Affleck who won the Best Director award and best motion picture drama for Argo, which was a shock to a lot of movie critics who speculated that Steven Spielberg‘s “Lincoln” would win the best picture as well as an award for his directorial work.
Also taking home top honors include Daniel Day-Lewis as best actor, Jessica Chastain as best actress, Christoph Waltz as best supporting actor and Anne Hathaway as best supporting actress, all in the drama category while on the TV scene, Lena Dunham won the best actress in a musical or comedy, Claire Danes won the best actress award for her dramatic portrayal in Homeland and Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin in Game Change.
Honored for her work over the years, golden Hollywood actress, Jodie Foster who arrived in a halter neck Armani gown, delivered a tearful speech. The 50 year old Beaver star, addressed everything from her sexuality to her relationship with her mother.
